SPP International Scholars Program

SPP International Scholars Program is our newest offering and partnership with Hill-Murray School in Minnesota.

Program Overview

Since 2003, St. Paul Preparatory (SPP) served as the flagship school of the Nacel International School System (NISS). Due to a number of factors, we decided now was the time to transition the school to a more traditional campus that can offer students all the benefits and resources of a modern American high school.

After months of searching, we decided to partner with Hill-Murray (H-M), in part due to the history between H-M and Nacel Open Door (NOD). This partnership builds on an existing 14-year relationship of bringing NOD's Private School Program (PSP) students from Asia, Europe, and South America to study at Hill-Murray, a Catholic college prep school located in Maplewood, Minnesota.

With this partnership, current students at SPP can enroll at Hill-Murray in its new SPP International Scholars Program, an innovative, personalized, and flexible learning opportunity for students with strong interests in specific learning outcomes.

Students

What does this partnership mean for students? A premier academic experience on a beautiful and complete campus, with all the resources to ensure a well-rounded, college-preparatory experience. Students will have the opportunity to participate in over 30 clubs and 15 sports. H-M also offers students personalized one-on-one college advising, with help in everything from essay writing to college tours to scholarship assistance.

Host Families

Much like with SPP, international students will live with carefully screened and selected Host Families during their time at H-M. These families will be recruited by NOD Representatives, which means they have a trusted contact to assist with any issues that may arise. Host Families also have access to Advisors, a Travel Coordinator, and all NOD staff, should they need the support during program.
