Our tutors are uniquely qualified to help English Language Learners (ELL) succeed. With decades of experience working with international students studying in the United States of America and studying American curriculums abroad, we know the challenges ELL experience. We are particularly attuned to the challenges of living in a new country, with a host family, combined with the demands of the American school system.

Tutoring
We offer one-on-one tutoring for a variety of subjects, with a focus on language development. All services are offered through Tutorbird, an online learning app, with NacelEd certified instructors. You can choose a single session, or you can save by purchasing multiple tutoring sessions at one time. Students will each be given access to video recordings of their sessions, as well as learning materials and assignments.
Tutoring sessions start at: $45.00/session
NacelEd Prep Course
NacelEd Prep Course is a comprehensive program tailored to provide you with the tools essential for navigating the challenges and seizing the opportunities that come with international exchange experience. This course includes 40 hours of English language tutoring, study skills enhancement, and academic & college preparation skills. NacelEd will help you get the most out of your experience, prepare you for next steps, and teach cultural sensitivity skills to help you foster a deeper connection with your host family, friends, school, and local community.
Individual sessions start at $1,700/course. Group sessions start at $700/course.
Academic Readiness Seminar Series
Refresh your English language skills and reinforce the study skills needed to succeed in the American school system. During the Academic Readiness Seminar, you will also practice English language skills to help you gain confidence interacting in host families and schools.

What is NacelEd?
Nacel Open Door’s (NOD) NacelEd services provide student and school support designed to promote academic growth, skill development, and successful academic and cultural exchange opportunities for international students in grades K-12 and/or adults. NOD strives to prepare learners of all ages to succeed in their programs and to excel beyond them, building skills that will empower them for future opportunities.
What are the requirements for students to obtain tutoring services?
The free seminars are options to attend and are supplemental to the student experience. They offer guidance in areas such as course scheduling, preparing for trips and breaks, and how to engage in the experience throughout the school year.
What are the free seminars about? Are they mandatory?
We are an active member of the school communities in which we serve and our team works closely with each student, their partner or parents, and the school they’re attending to ensure progress is being made. The NacelEd team will work directly with your school to obtain resources if necessary. The NacelEd tutors have oversight of all tutoring sessions that take place and includes access to video recordings, lesson reports, and more.

Yes! NacelEd offers school support services for school communities holistically – supporting students, families, and school administration or teachers. NacelEd offers programming for multilingual support, integrated support for programs developing systems that support English learners, and international program support for coordinators and schools hosting international students.
